A quick PDF task should not require a new account or a surprise payment at the download screen. PlainPage makes common page operations and basic conversions available in your browser.

Built to stay lightweight

The site runs on static hosting. Your browser does the document processing, and the tools load their libraries only when needed. There is no processing server to maintain.

What is included

Combine PDFs, extract and organize pages, rotate pages, try image compression, convert images into PDFs, export PDF pages as images, extract text and create basic Word documents from PDF text. Word and text conversion to PDF use the browser print dialog.

What is not included

Exact PDF-to-Word layout reconstruction, OCR, legacy .doc conversion, editing existing PDF text and secure redaction are not included. Page assembly can change bookmarks, forms and signatures. Compression can remove text selection or increase file size. Always review important outputs.

Practical limits

The PDF workspace supports up to 25 files, 100 MB per file, 200 MB total and 300 pages. Image conversion supports up to 50 images and 200 MB total; individual images are limited to 25 megapixels. DOCX files are limited to 20 MB and text files to 2 MB. Large or complex files can exceed your device’s available memory.

Open-source foundations

PlainPage uses PDF.js, pdf-lib, Mammoth, DOMPurify, docx and JSZip. Their licenses are included with the site.
